Mauro Trejo

At the moment, Mauro is in charge of coordinating the scholarship fund program at the Mexican Studies Institute at the City University of New York. His work focuses on monitoring student performance and creating growth opportunities through mentoring programs, internships, and leadership seminars. Mauro holds a bachelor's degree in criminology and political science from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City and a certification in immigration law from the CUNY School of Professional Studies.

In his role supporting the student community, Mauro is an advisor to a group of students of Mexican origin at Lehman College.

Since his arrival to New York, he has focused his career on serving the Mexican community. From 2017 to 2021, he was part of the protection team for Mexicans abroad at the Consulate General of Mexico in New York.
